Accenture Inks $35M Services Contract with the U.K.

Global management and outsourcing company Accenture (ACN) said on Monday it has been awarded a five-year, $35 million contract from the U.K. Ministry of Justice to help support its human resources, payroll, finance and procurement operations.
The shared service will operate across the Ministry of Justice business network, including Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service.
Accenture will be responsible for creating a common platform, with the goal of increasing the speed and accuracy of the Ministry’s Enterprise Resource Planning system.
The company will work as the overall systems integrator, designing and delivering the shared system to more than 80,000 employees. The project, which is expected to deliver 28 million pounds in savings per year by 2014, is one of the first pan-departmental shared service solution in the U.K. central government.
“Accenture’s selection as the lead systems integrator builds on our successful delivery in similar collaborative arrangements across the Ministry of Justice and for other public sector clients,” said Mark Lyons, the company’s U.K. and Ireland managing director for health and public service.
The tech company will operate and maintain the system for the duration of the five-year contract.

3日從江蘇省商務廳獲悉,2010年江蘇服務外包產業發展迅猛,合同總額達87.36億美元,同比增長57.09%,服務外包從業人員達48.5萬人,外包企業數增至3778家,各項指標連續四年在全國保持領先地位。
江蘇服務外包產業2007年開始起步,四年來,聯創科技、潤和軟體、華道資料、方正軟體、藥明康得、軟通動力等一批企業迅速成長。2008年以來,江蘇每年都評定100家服務外包成長型企業和30家骨幹型企業,對成長型和骨幹型企業分別給予50—100萬元的獎勵。
目前,江蘇已建成各類服務外包載體超過2000萬平方米,各地軟體園、物流園、創業園、創意園、生物醫藥園、研發設計中心、商務中心等各類外包產業集聚園區紛紛投入運營。依託這些載體,江蘇已初步形成以軟體外包、動漫創意、工業設計、醫藥研發、供應鏈管理、金融後臺服務等為特色的服務外包產業集群。

澳大利亞最大的電信公司Telstra(澳洲電信)今晨表示已與外包商洽談有關後臺外包的相關事宜,該專案將影響1200個工作職位。電信公司此前與IBM和HP公司保持著長期的外包合作關係,但是此前的財務報告顯示,新的BPO外包合同逐步轉向印度,此次的新外包合同的續簽公司很可能是以前的合作夥伴Mahindra(馬恒達科技公司)和Infosys,而負責此次外包諮詢工作的則是AT Kearney公司。Telstra公司的發言人表示:“公司尋求的是市場中後臺服務外包合作議案,但現在還只是初步商議階段,還未做出任何決定。並且,新議案僅是整個項目的初始階段,將進一步探索市場後臺服務功能的可能性。”公司首席執行官David表示,此項目將是一次嚴謹的內部重組計畫,有望改變公司客戶服務體驗並且簡化複雜的操作過程。

Telstra confirms BPO outsourcing

The nation’s biggest telco Telstra this morning confirmed it was talking to suppliers about a potential move to outsource some back office functions, in a move which could reportedly affect some 1200 jobs.
The telco has long had extensive outsourcing agreements with the likes of IBM and HP’s Enterprise Services division (formerly EDS), but the Financial Review reported this morning that a new business process outsourcing contract could see many jobs shifted to India, in a deal which could be picked up by one of Telstra’s existing outsourcers or the likes of Tech Mahindra or Infosys. The process was reportedly being managed by consulting firm AT Kearney.
“We are in the market for a request for proposal process for some back of house services, but it is very much early days and no decisions have been made yet,” a Telstra spokesperson said this morning in response to the article.
“The RFP is an initial step as part of Project New to test the market for some limited back of house functionality in terms of what the possibilities could be.”
The telco’s Project New is an extensive internal program of reforms that its chief executive David Thodey believes will transform the company’s customer service experience and simplify its complex operations.
Overall, the project – dubbed “Project New” – will see some 500 Telstra staff implement 27 separate programs with the aim of reducing spending on external suppliers, improve customer service and field workforce productivity, simplify prices and reduce the company’s ongoing costs.
Project New was kicked off three months ago, and is being led by a new Telstra group managing director, Robert Nason (pictured, above), who joined Telstra in February after a senior role at wagering business Tabcorp, as well as spots at EDS, AT Kearney and KPMG, for example.
Telstra’s size means it has long had a number of existing outsourcing relationships on the technology front, although it has been a year or so since it is known to have signed any major new deals in the area. In December 2007, for example, the telco extended a seven year supply chain deal with IBM, while several years later, in June 2009, the company topped up two deals with IBM and EDS, collectively worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

面對人才缺乏的局面,哈爾濱服務外包企業逐漸探索出“外引內訓”的培訓模式,向外,借助于東北亞中心的地理優勢,積極發展日、韓市場,盡力開拓歐洲、東南亞市場,引進國際化人才或外派員工赴海外學習培訓,植入國際化因素;向內,關注內需市場,充分發揮哈爾濱獨特的石油石化、裝備製造業等產業優勢,大力培養服務外包本土人才。哈爾濱服務外包企業通過“外引內訓”模式,逐漸走出“人才缺乏”的怪圈,尋求裂變發展。

成立一年半到兩年正是初創企業最難熬的時候一開始很多創業者都能充滿激情不計代價地投入,但到這時,可能激情燃燒殆盡、資金告罄,團隊中很多人也就此散了。Mikael Hed帶著Relude接了一個外包專案,為Sumea開發滑雪遊戲Ski Jump。2000年前後彩屏手機開始普及,幾年的發展和諾基亞的影響力使芬蘭誕生大量手機遊戲公司。Sumea和Mr.Goodliving都是當時世界級的領先者,能以品牌商的身份與運營商合作。像Relude這樣的小型工作室,則圍繞它們做一些外包求生存。
2005年是變化頻生的關鍵一年。在Sumea於2004年6月被美國同業Digital Chocolate收購後,Mr.Goodliving在2005年5月也被美國公司RealNetworks收購。
與此同時,Mikael Hed的父親開始成為關鍵人物。Kaj Hed在2005年1月為Relude注入資金,將公司改名為現在眾所周知的Rovio,並從人心渙散的Sumea挖人。

三泰電子中標浦發銀行外包業務。公司此次中標,將對公司的業績產生一定的影響。
三泰電子3月2日發佈公告稱,公司中標浦發銀行“集中業務錄入外包服務專案”。日前公司已收到浦發銀行《集中業務錄入外包服務專案中標通知書》。
三泰電子錶示,公司中標浦發銀行“集中業務錄入外包服務專案”,將對公司的業績產生一定的影響。公司此次入選不影響公司業務的獨立性,不影響其他客戶對該產品的需求。但是正式合同尚未簽訂,最終合同金額尚不確定。此前的2010年11月,三泰電子還與廣發銀行簽訂第一個與銀行總行簽訂的服務外包合同,即《運營外包服務合同》。
